When NASA, who's scientists where in the final stages of developing a high-speed train for the American Amtrak system, heard about the Canadian invention, its researchers were quiet impressed. They complemented the NRC team on their invention and asked to borrow the device so they could measure the impact of a bird's hitting a train when it's speed was approaching 300 km/h. Latter, when NASA personal conducted the experiment, they were astonished to see the chicken shatter they're windscreen, smash threw the control panel, brake the driver's seat into peaces, and embed itself in the wall of the cockpit. Horri- fied, NASA scientists contacted the NRC with they're results and asked weather there Canadian counterparts could advice them why their experiment had produced results so different from the Canadian tests.
