Final debate power point presentation

quebec will be assigned a province

You will proceed by choosing a party in your province to represent for

your argument in your PP debate presentation.

You will choose from the Conservative, Liberal, NDP and Green parties.

The question that you will debate in your presentation will be:

Why is your party the best party to represent the province you have been

assigned?

Research the party that you have chosen in your assigned province.

You will keep your written notes of research which will be handed in on

prior to your presentation on the final day of the course in a Dropbox

assigned.

Your research will answer the question by supporting your argument.

You will support your argument with facts, not just opinion.

For example:

Why did you choose that party?

What is the history of that party in the province?

Why will your party represent the province best?

Has your party had any serious controversy?

What is the past achievements of your party?

What are the failures of your party?

You will ask yourself additional questions of how you can

convince the class that your party is the best choice for your

province.

Use color, themes, music, video clips and any other media to support

your presentation, and to make your presentation stand out amongst

the others in the class. That will ensure higher grades. What will make

your presentation better or the best presentation? Try Prezi or

PowToon app or another app that makes unusual presentations. Think

outside the box.

You will be required to do a presentation of a minimum of

3 minutes

and a maximum of 5 minutes

. You will present this to the entire

class on the final day of the course.

You will have a

minimum of 5 slides

plus a cover slide, a position

statement slide, and citation and reference slide at the end. You will

include the name of the assignment, the date and course code, your

full name and id and your professors name on your cover slide. The

presentation will be clear, clean and professionally presented.

The final pp presentation will be handed in on the day of presentation

in an assigned Dropbox prior to your presentation.

You will receive a list of the order you will present based on a timeline

and schedule supplied by your professor prior to the class.

Please remember to include the key components to a successful pp

presentation which include but are not limited to the following:

Structure with the consistency of fonts, colors, and position of

content, a good template can be helpful, ensure you create a

feeling of order and organized information.

The principle of economy, which is based on the idea that less is

more. Make sure to edit and spell check your slides and explain

your position on many several slides to keep visual interest.
