Flow Process Chart$2)$ Consider the process of assembling drawers. Three drawer$-$clamp machines put the drawer together by pressing the dovetails in the drawer sides into the slots in the drawer fronts and backs. The drawer subassembly is then placed on a roller line and transported to a stop, where it waits to be placed on a motorized conveyor line. On the conveyor line, the bottom of the drawer is stapled on$,$ drawer guides are installed, and glue blocks are added. The drawers encounter another stop until one of two sanding operators remove them from the conveyor line. The dovetail joints are then sanded on a belt sander and loaded onto a hanger conveyor.
