For this discussion board, reference the document titled "csci $302\mathrm{.}71$ lab $1$ enigma v$1\mathrm{.}1"$ in the "Documents" module. Read each URL listing under "Additional background information" and try your hand at the electronic Enigma simulator described in "Activity $1".$ You can use the settings found at the end of the document under "Validation Operations" to work the settings and produce both ciphertext and plaintext. You do not have to perform Activities $2,3,$ or the prescribed Lab Report. You do however have to describe your findings in this discussion post. In addition to your findings, please mention whether or not you knew about Enigma before this class, and something interesting about Enigma that you learned as a result of this exercise.
