The prominent castes are Rajputs, Blacksmiths and Brahmins, followed by scheduled castes. The main economy of the village is agriculture. The density of Antyodaya and IRDP identified families is also large. Most of the people are poor. A defunct NGO and some SHGs are there in the village.
