A typical cross$-$section of a strip footing beneath a

$200mm$ thick wall is shown in the figure below.

The footing is subjected to a concentric speci$-$

fied dead load $(P_{DL})$ of $100k\frac{N}{m}$ and a specified

live load $(P_{LL})$ of $100k\frac{N}{m}.$ Use an allowable soil

bearing pressure of $200$kPa and $15M$ bars for

flexural reinforcement. Maximum aggregate size

is $20mm.$

Design the footing according to the CSA A$23\mathrm{.}3$

design requirements.
