I am running data through both correlation and regression analysis in MS Excel Toolpak. For the correlation analysis, it returns a correlation co-efficient of -.7159842. However, when I run the exact same data through regression analysis, it results in p-value of .7159842. I've checked and double checked I am putting the variables in the correct input rows. How come I am getting a negative result with one analysis, and positive with the other? Am I doing something wrong?
