I feel that the primary data could be used for the research, because usage of primary data would help marketing team in understanding and identifying the needs ands wants of the customers and reveal whether Cheddar-Jalapeno Cornbread Waffles with Chicken live up to the hype of KFC's new Chicken & Waffles

What are two questions you would need your research to answer to determine if you should launch this new cornbread waffle product? Explain your choices.

1) Are the customers actually hyped about the launch of Cheddar-Jalapeno Cornbread Waffles with Chicken? This question basically addresses whether the customers are actually interested in buying and trying out the new product.

2) Will the customers visit Chick-Fil-A to try out their new product?

This question basically addresses how the launch of the new product triggers a buying tendency in the customers to visit Chick-Fil-A.

Describe the methods you need to use when conducting secondary or primary research (such as a survey or experiment), and why you selected them.

For conducting a primary research the following methods could be used:

Experimentation research:

This is the type of primary research in which a company tries to collect data by conducting an experiment. Under this method a company either test there experiment in a controlled environment or with a small sample groups. For example, Chick-Fil-A can use an Experimentation approach by launching the product in a small test group and check the response of customers to the new product.

Surveys

Surveys are the type of primary research in which, the data required for the organisation is obtained by directly contacting the target audience either by mail, telephone, Internet, etc. For example, Chick-Fil-A can give some survey questions to the few sample customers to ask them to fill in their opinion about the new launch.

question :
What can the companies do to make sure the surveys have the right amount of questions to get what they need from their target?
question:
Addressing whether the customers will visit the location is important. Often times people are deterred by the inability to purchase an item on Sunday from Chick-Fil-A. What else would deter them? Potentially the distance or price. Will there need to be a promotion to counteract these issues. That is a great point! I find myself having to go into a mall parking lot that is extremely busy because it is the central Chick-Fil-A for a large populated area. Due to this, lines are long and so is the wait. I would rather pay the extra dollars to shop at the Arby's across the intersection and receive a faster service.
