I have a question for a job interview that I am having trouble with. It doesn't seem to add up with the hour requirements for each employee. Each employee can only be paid 8 hours per day for a total of 40 hours per week, and the hour of planning period must be part of the 8 hours. There has to be two staff in each of the 6 rooms at all times to maintain the ratio of staff to children at 1 to 4. Here are the requirements:

The task is to come up with a weekly work schedule for each staff member with the following requirements:

Hours of operation are 730 to 530 (Monday-Friday)

Number of children is 48

Number of classrooms is 6

Number of teachers is 12 (they work full time, 1 hour planning each day, and a scheduled break)

Number of assistants is 3 (they work full time also with a scheduled break)
