I have been hurt in an accident and I want to document my medical records. I am being seen by a doctor to get a medical exam. I want to video record it on cell phone. This way I clearly understand everything he says. I am bringing w a person to hold cell phone and record. The person is my brother. My brother has signed a notarized HIPPA release form and as well I have signed a HIPPA. The doctor refuses to do medical exam with my brother recording the appointment. FLORIDA.

Do people seeing a doctor have the right to record?

What statues/ law/ regulations say you can or can not do so? What can be done when the doctor says he want see you if it will be recorded?
