I have this question from my quantitative research class and been stuck for days now. The following question is asking me to:

-present with the appropriate equation;

-compute the calculations using the appropriate numbers;

-state your decision rule (i.e., whether you reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis, including the obtained and critical value); and,

-provide one to two sentences on your conclusion from the statistical test (e.g., "We conclude that males and females do not differ in their experience of stress from taking an online exam)."

"You conducted an experiment that addressed the topic of whether exposure to medical dramas, such as House, New Amsterdam, and The Good Doctor, caused their viewers to perceive themselves as more likely to catch a fatal disease. You equally separated 30 subjects into a control group and an experimental group. The control group watched an episode of the Simpsons, whereas the experimental group watched an episode of House. After viewing the episode, you asked participants to com-plete a measure on their how likely it is for them to contract a fatal disease (1 = not at all likely, 7 = very likely).
