I wanted to comment on your post because you brought up great points as to why there may be issues with multichannel distribution. The first challenge you mentioned has to do with how many times a consumer sees different ads for the same products. When thinking of a real world example of this, I thought of Crest toothbrushes, I always see the product advertised on Target's ads, however, I also get coupons in the mail for the product and see the commercials from Crest. I see this ad to many times and do not want to purchase the product because the information is confusing and the companies seem like they have too much inventory if they are advertising this much. Do you think if manufacturers can avoid this and are able to help their vendors avoid this, there would be a better stream of advertisements?
