1.1.1 Key Features of the System The reservation system would be developed using Incremental Development Model where in key features of the product would be developed first and then followed by other increments. To be considered acceptable, the product should implement the following minimum features in the first increment: . . Registration function, where in a customer can enter his/her details and register with the system. Login function, where in a customer can log in into the system only after successful registration. Search function, where in a customer can search for a particular flight through flight number or by entering flight date, origin and destination. View timetable function, where in a customer can view timetable of all the flights. View flight detail function, where in a customer can view flight details including number of seats and ticket price for business and economy class. Booking function, where in a customer can make a preliminary booking on a particular flight without making a payment. Booking would only be made if the seats are available. View bookings function, where in a customer can view all the bookings made by them. Cancel booking function, where in a customer can cancel a particular or all the bookings. The following features would be implemented in the later increments: Payment Function, where in a booked seat on a flight can be confirmed by making a payment for that booking. Confirmation Cancellation function, where in a customer can cancel a confirmed seat and the payment for that booking would be reimbursed to the customer after deducting the cancellation fee.
