Observe stopping behaviors at intersections. Include at least two different neighborhoods (e.g., on campus, in town, in a residential neighborhood, near an elementary school or day care ) and at least two different times (e.g., mid-day and late at night). Use the table below to keep a tally of your observations. Record the time and place as well as the occurrence of the following for 20- 25 cars per location: Coming to a full at the stop sign and then slowly moving up to the intersection if visibility is impaired, as is the law Coming to a full stop, not at the sign but at the intersection Rolling to a near stop and moving on Slowing down, but not stopping, while passing through the intersection Driving through without slowing down or stopping Summarize your findings and look at the percentages of types of stopping as a function of time and place.
