PDI measures the acceptance of a hierarchy of power and wealth by the individuals who make up the general population of a nation (Investopedia). With this in mind, I would be concerned with how my marketing strategy would translate in a different rated country. If they ranked higher on the PDI, I would want to focus on the decision makers more perhaps. Secondly, with a higher PDI there may be more opportunity for marginalized groups, so consideration must be given on who and how to target. Lastly, I would be wary of the individualism vs collectivism advertising strategies. In some countries we can advertise to the group, to be a part of something. In others, this is not helpful and we should focus on the individual success and happiness of the person.
