This assignment is submitted in two parts. Part 1 - Reflection Proposal a. Describe a scenario based on work or volunteer experience that you have had where communication was a focus. The scenario should be one in which specific communication techniques could have been used to improve the outcome of the interaction. Examples may include, but are not limited to: a difficult conversation with a colleague or a supervisor, a conversation when you were advocating for yourself or someone else, or an in-depth conversation that involved planning or decision-making. b. Part 2 - Reflection Paper (expanding on proposal) The scenario and barriers that you have outlined should provide you with a good foundation for applying concepts, ideas and techniques from class lectures, the textbook and supplemental materials. Expand on the barriers identified in Part 1 of the assignment by suggesting the communication skills and/or techniques that could have been used to achieve a more satisfactory outcome. Conclude by informing the reader of how you would approach a similar situation in future, based on what you have learned in the course to date.
