Creativity is the key to success of your designed products in the market. Your boss has given you a list of actions that would kill creativity. The list is given below. He is asking you to use this list as a guideline and make a list of actions that would enhance creativity in your design team. The following is a list of things leaders can do if they wish to stop the creativity of their followers: 1. Take away all discretion and autonomy: People like to have some sense of control over their work. Micromanaging staff will cause people to mentally disengage from work. 2. Create fragmented work schedules: People need large chunks of uninterrupted time to work on novel solutions. Make repeated work interruptions by calling for meeting and disrupt people's ability to innovate 3. Provide insufficient resources: People need proper data, equipment and money to be creative. Cut this off and creativity will go down the drain 4. Create tight timelines and rigid processes: Tighter the deadline, less flexible the process. More chances to kill innovation 3
