What to Do:You have been studying profit-maximizing behavior by a wide variety of firms. Earlier in the class we learned about the "principal-agent problem" whereby agents often make choices that are NOT in the best interest of the principals they are supposed to represent. To earn up to 20 points of extra credit, you are asked to watch the movie "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room." This documentary investigates the rise and fall of the energy giant Enron.
