Please Hoffner reply back to my classmates discussion post.
What did you learn about leadership from the Toyota Way and the Starbucks Experience? learned from the toyota experience that there are 14 main princples can make a great working enviroment catorgized in 4 secotions. First being long term philosophy , two the right process will produce the right results, three add vaule to the organazation by devloping you and our people, and last continuously solving problems drives organizational learning . These categories if done right and in a continous process everything should start to flow smootly. Without being able to have a vision for yourself and the organization you wont see results This will not only help you but it will help to grow leaders who understand your vision. Learning to solve problems and being open minded of all options to get good quality. What learned from the starbucks experience is that you may face may challenges throughout your life just how Howard Schultz did an you can wallow in self pitty and feel sorry for yourself or take reponsisbilty for your life and pick yourself up. Its doing what other people dont see and then pursuing that vision to make most of your organization and watch it thrive. Yes, it takes a strong person to get to your dreams but it is possible to get even beyond your dreams by continuing to build your vision and not give up on what you truly belleve will be a success story 2. What did they have in common ? What is different ? Both of the Toyota Way and Starbucks Experience have in common building leadership and your vision may be and bringing it to others attention to build a strong organization filled with others who understand your vision. As well as learning how to be responisble for your actions as well as being able to problem solve and be open minded to what others may have in storeHoward Schultz came from pverity and wanted to give people a great coffee experience that was different from any other expereince in a coffee shop. Drivemotivation reponsiblitity, and having a vision are what I took from the videos that are most important. As well as creating a better work envioment for your emplyoees because stated in the Starbucks video before they would not even calll ech other by their names and it was very harsh organization at the time . He had a bigger and better plan and he was able to do that by using some of the toyota mechanisms like the right process with produce the right results. Overall toyota has a build structure and fundementals for there organization while being very friendly and wanting the best for everyone .3. Which company would you choose to work for and why? think I would choose to work at toyota because after watching the video there are many fundementals of wanting to better for the organization but also being helpful towards there employees. They have long-term goals as well as teaching others their vison so leaders can be built to help new workers and it just becomes a cycleI think it would be easier for me to follow their insights for the company as well as build my own leadership skills as a whole.
