Since Covid-19 has recently been a major situation for Americans and many around the world. I think the US medical system should handle billing in a more simpler and of an extensive approach for an all intensive purpose like a natural disaster. Covid-19 has changed many peoples lives and ways of living. For example, getting healthcare, their mental heath being affected, getting financial help, or not enough financial help and more. I feel as if we should try to make healthcare cheaper for those who need it most, and or for everyone. Around the world there are countries that do not charge payments for healthcare. Looking at Greece, Italy, the UK, Canada and many more, all provide free healthcare or very low costing healthcare (in some cases). Being able to provide free or low costing health care to the population can make a lot of things simpler and essential to everyone's health. If we can not provide free healthcare, we should at least try to have popup stations or areas, ran by physicians to provide free healthcare to many who are in need of it. For the pandemic, we have provided sites that do free Covid testing or even vaccines for an individual living in the US. We should be able to also have more of a grace period when paying for bills. Since the pandemic, many have had trouble getting to work because it is in close contact with others or even because it was shut down. Overall, we should have more time to pay bills, so for many it'll be a little better to get money to pay the upcoming medical bills.
