Population and Sample section:
This is a qualitative case study. The purpose of the study is to better understand the factors that influence banking customers not to use Internet banking and then use these factors to develop strategies to increase the Internet banking. The Research Questions asked about why customers use or do not use Internet banking. Also asked was the element of trust by the customer in the banks ability to assure privacy and security of data in Internet banking and how that trust factor influenced Internet banking. Because of privacy regulations regulating the Bank it was not possible for the Bank to release a list of all customers and hence probability sampling did not take place. The research population consisted of customers 18 years old or older and who had a product, savings or checking, at the bank that could be accessed through the Banks Internet website. The sample consisted of 25 persons10 customers using Internet banking, 10 customers not using Internet banking, and 5 employees who service these customers.
