Premier Construction, is a medium sized construction firm with about 300 employees. The company had grown from a two man partnership to the current 300 employees over the last three years. The management of the firm was headed by one of the partners son, John Junior. He was a hot tempered and determined young man, who focused on increasing the net worth of the company at all means. He had taken on a big project in the last year, and the basis of the payments was on a monthly basis depending on the percentage of work done. The project was a success and had increased the liquidity of the company, enabling the company to invest in more projects and assets. However, John Junior was now facing a stumbling block as the main client had been issued a stop order due to the lack of licensing approvals. The company was facing a severe cash flow problem at the moment, with post dated cheques issued becoming due.
