Q4 Contour Map Generator 20 Points Purpose: Use nested for loops to solve a problem in geography. Credits: This problem is modified from one due to a former undergraduate student, Kyle Kaliebe. Similarly to how one might draw lines of equal potential for a physics lab, geologists and surveyors often use maps that feature lines of equal altitude. For example, each line might represent another 1000 feet in altitude. The closer the lines are together, the steeper the incline you have. This type of map provides a convenient "top down" perspective of a particular landscape. Here are some links to such topographic maps (aka contour maps): Crater Lake: surroundings, zoom in of lake shore, lake bed Contour Map Quiz For this problem, you will make a topographical map generator with the following simplifications: The shape of the surface is a plane. The level of incline is constant. The direction of ascent can only be north, south, east, or west. . The starting elevation is always zero. You will prompt the user for the incline, direction of ascent, and size (width and height) of the map. You may use lines like data = int(input("Enter data") to grab those. For this problem, you only need to implement the east and west directions of ascent. The north and south directions will be for an OPTIONAL extra credit below. Turn-In: a cut-and-paste of your code, and one example of its behavior on each of the east and west directions Example Run 1 Enter desired nap width: 6 Enter desired nap height: 4 What incline does the map have: 3 Direction of ascent (N-1, S=2, E-3, W-4): 4 18 15 12 9 6 3 18 15 12 9 6 3 18 15 12 9 6 3 18 15 12 Example Run 2 9 Enter desired nap width: 8 Enter desired nap height: 7 What incline does the map have: 7 Direction of ascent (N-1, S=2, E-3, W-4): 1 3 49 49 49 49 49 49 49 49 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 42 35 35 35 35 35 35 35 35 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 28 21 21 21 21 21 21 21 21 14 14 14 14 14 14 14 14 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 7 Save Answer IMPORTANT NOTE: The linked PS4 FAQ has some hints Enter your answer here Q5 Contour Map Extra Credit (OPTIONAL) 20 Points Turn-In: a cut-and-paste of your code, and one example of its behavior on each of the south and north directions Save Answer See the problem above for the format the examples should follow.
