(a) Outline your own observations of TWO possible factors that have disruptive effects on traditional supply chain practices and in particular warehouse operations. Explain how they are affecting the supply chain and warehouse operations.

(b) What can businesses and companies with warehouse operations do to achieve a resilient supply chain? Suggest ways to cope in the short- and long-term.

Consider an organisation that you work/intern for, or one that you are familiar with. The organisation should be involved with the storage and handling of goods. Demonstrate the role this organisation plays in the supply chain, the types of customers, and types and characteristics of goods. Give reasons why this organisation needs to hold goods.

Based on your experience or what you have observed for, indicate one possible weakness in its warehouse operations. Suggest possible ways to increase warehouse efficiency and productivity in its operations. State your assumptions if needed.
