It is believed that a traveler brought the idea from China to Italy several centuries ago. From Italy it spread to France and England, and later to the United States.

2. _____________________________________________.The use of credit in business is very old.People have given other people credit for thousands of years in many different parts of the world. The modern credit card, however, has been in use only since about 1950. Many changes in business have taken place in recent years.Now people use credit cards for food, lodging, goods and services of all kinds.

3. _____________________________________________.Electricity gives us light in darkness, warmth in winter, and coolness in summer. It cooks our food and washes our clothes and dishes.It helps us shave, sew, and clean the house.Electricity gives us movies and television to entertain us in our free time.Sometimes storms cut off the supply of electricity.

4. _____________________________________________.There are literally hundreds of islands to choose from. Athens is the rather overcrowded and polluted capital of Greece. Many of the Greek islands are still very unspoiled and quiet, retaining traces of a more peaceful pace of life. For those wanting more excitement, there are islands with plenty of bars and restaurants. Getting to the islands could not be easier; there are regular ferry connections to all the main islands from Athens and Raffina. Some people can feel rather unwell when travelling by boat.

5. _____________________________________________.It is proven that aerobic exercise is good for the heart, which is very important to overall health. I used to run every day, but now I go to dance classes to get my aerobic exercise. Strength training is important for maintaining muscle mass and improving bone density. Both muscle mass and bone density can decrease as we age, so improving them through strength training is important. My grandmother broke a hip last year because her bones were so fragile.All kinds of exercise have been shown to relieve depression, anxiety, and stress.
