To add to the academic conversation, reply to your classmates/instructor by introducing a new idea that applies personal experience(s) and/or new knowledge gained from either courseroom material(s) or research (UMA Library). Make sure your reply is substantive. For example, How were your thoughts and ideas similar or different? Do you agree or disagree with their point of view, and why or why not? 1. I would make a strong first impression by being dressed appropriately and professional. It would show the employer that I follow policy and procedures which has a lot to do with the job's guidelines. It also helps them to see that I am confident and organized in my work. It shows that I am very mature in professionalism and that i take responsibility for my actions. Employers love and respect people they can trust which would most likely get me the job.
2. If I was preparing for a video interview at home, I would still dress the part. I still have to be professional, responsible and mature. Even though I am in the comfort of my own home, the company still deserves respect. I would dress the same way that I do when going to an in person interview. I am still dedicated to giving a strong impression and do not want the employers to think that I do not care.
