Working as quality assurance, I run into everyday risks; there is not one day I can see I don't run into issues. The most recent one was when I was working on a new program, and when I was receiving the final product, I realized the front cover of the product was put in different ways. There wasn't a consistent way the covers were facing. Therefore that was a significant issue because every product we sent out must be consistent and look precisely the same. Then I checked the process sheet and realized there were no instructions on how the covers needed to be faced. Therefore to avoid having material return from the field, I contacted the program engineer to make a note of it and find out by the design group which way they wanted it to be faced. Then I made sure the engineer noted it on the process sheet and created a pop-up to alert the operators of this change. Thank god we could catch this issue in time before any product left the building. It would have caused a major headache and a significant rework if we didn't. Overall in my role, I run into similar situations day by day.
