Respond- At the current bar that I work at, the owner decided to change our POS system without notifying any employees about the change. We were told to use a handheld device to take orders for customers, as opposed to our old ways of writing it down, and entering it into our system after. When we arrived to work that week, we were all very confused about this change. Since we were not used to this new system, we began behavior resistance and continued to write down the orders, as we were still comfortable in our old ways. Most bartenders complained about this new system, and this caused resistance because we were happy with the way things were before implementing this unknown change. THere was also no training on this new POS, which lead to more errors and slower wait times for customers. By using the information provided in the lecture, I would have notified the employees ahead of time, as well as provide proper training on this new system. If that was done, it would not be such a shock to the bartenders and they would have received proper training. This would count for less errors and faster wait
