For this discussion, we are going to explore State Court Examine 3 different State Court websites (you can choose which states) and.

• Describe what information is available on each State Court site.
• Tell us which of the three state court websites you think was the most user friendly and informative, and explain why.
• For each of the court system, you selected, determine the status of the electronic filing of cases. Is it allowed? If so for what case types?

On the left side of the page, there are different tabs you can click on to discover more about the different level of courts in the state. There is a tab for court rules, including all levels up to the State Supreme Court. On the home page, there are links to read different articles regarding the Tennessee courts. At the top, there are resource tabs if you need to learn more about programs offerred or print forms to fill out.

For the status of e-filing, there are different standards for each county. There is a tab at the top specifically for e-filing, which includes a quick link for attorneys to e-file appeals. There is a list of counties that offer e-filing and which courts are available. For example, Williamson County offers e-filing for the Chancery Court and Civil Court.

There is a search bar in the middle of the page in case you are searching for something specific. Below the search bar, there are tabs locating different resources and information about the different levels of courts. There are also links to find cases, pay fines, or learn about jury duty. At the bottom of the page, there are links to relevant news articles and where to connect with the courts on social media.

There is a notice toward the top of the page stating as of November 1, 2022, all attorneys must e-file personal injuries and other tort actions. They are moving to require more types of cases to be e-filed by 2023.

The first thing you see on the home page is a search bar in the middle. Underneath, there are tabs for forms and e-filing as well as links for different resources such as court rules, publications, and communications. At the bottom of the page, there are links for upcoming events and relevant news stories.

For now, certain trial, district, and appellate courts are e-filing. Every few months they are implementing additional courts to start the e-filing process, which includes adding 20 district courts by the end of 2023. The State Supreme Court is also e-filing.
