You should submit a written report identifying your great business idea and explaining its choice. The report should be about two double spaced typed pages. The name of your proposed business should appear on the report. Your fictitious company can be any type of company in the retail, manufacturing, or service industries and it can be a profit or not for profit company. It should be a business that is fun and interesting to you. Examples of businesses include a detective agency, a cable-access TV series, an advertising firm, a modeling agency, a cruise ship, a casino, a retail shop, an independent bookstore, a radio station, an amusement park, a digital camera company.

A strategic plan is a written description of your strategy to achieve the five-year goals you have developed for your business. It provides the reader with an interesting story of what the proposed business will be like. It's also an indispensable tool, when combined with your business plan, for attracting investors and/or obtaining bank loans for a new business. You are to pretend that you are attempting to "sell" your business idea to a group of potential investors called Ventures, Inc. Therefore your writing needs to demonstrate a sophisticated clarity and conciseness as well as be free of grammar, syntax, punctuation and spelling errors.
