Design bearing wall studs for the following conditions:

The studs are $4000mm$ long and are simply supported at both ends.

The studs are spaced at $600mm\frac{c}{c},$ with wall sheathing preventing buckling about weak axis.

The stud wall supports a specified dead load of $7\mathrm{.}5k\frac{N}{m}$ and snow load of $14\mathrm{.}3k\frac{N}{m}.$

Assume that the studs are subject to dry service conditions, standard load duration and no treatment.

Design the stud wall using the SELECTION TABLES in the manual. Check stud compression and bearing capacities. Use S$-$P$-$F Stud grade sawn lumber.
