Substantive feedback to:
Which roles and responsibilities would be the easiest for you? Why?
One of my strongest areas in my career has always been problem solving. We currently use an 8-Step problem solving technique within Toyota.
One of the reasons this has been my strong area is my ability to collect data and effectively communicate that data. I am a firm believer in let your data drive your decisions. Collecting true and accurate data make decision making much easier. It helps tell the complete story to a problem and gets everyone on the smae page as to how to countermeasure the problem.
Which would be the most difficult? Explain your reasoning.
I have had to wear many different hats in my 25 years with Toyota. One of my struggle areas has always been budgeting. I enjoy the planning and scheduling. I believe my next strongest area would be conflict resolution. I really enjoy resolving issues and watching teams build a trust wihtin the group. Budgeting though, has always been my weak area because I am the type that has never shied away from purchasing the item my teams have needed in order to properly perform their jobs. Even when the money wasn't in the budget, I still bought what was needed. I leatrned a long toime ago that if you don't use, don't expect to have it to use the next fiscal year.
