1.0 Approaching Third Parties for Collaboration

The potential partner from Kalimantan, Indonesia that Asteel Group can collaborate with is PP Construction and Investment or PT PP (Persero) TBK. It is a construction and investment company controlled by the Indonesian government (Pembangunan Perumahan 2020). The business lines of PT PP (Persero) TBK include services in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), property, infrastructure and building, and investment. It is an advantage for Asteel to collaborate with them because PT PP (Persero) has been working in the construction industry in Indonesia for more than 60 years (About Us 2016). Thus, it is safe to say that they are reliable when it comes to conducting market research on Indonesian market. Moreover, the company implements effective strategies in accordance with the objective of becoming Indonesias leading construction and investment business with international competitive advantages by continually improving human resources to meet increasing industry demands (Human Capital 2016). Therefore, Asteel can rely on the company because it knows how to find local talents and build efficiency in Indonesian market. Another reason why our team choose this company is because PT PP (Persero) is located near the new Indonesia capital location which are Penajam Paser Utara and Kutai Kartanegara in East Kalimantan Province.

2.0 Negotiable Business Term with The Sarawak Government

The second strategy is collaborating with SEDC. This would benefit Asteel in terms of financial support and business opportunities where Asteel will be prioritise as the main supplier for future government construction projects. With the current facilities owned by Asteel, Asteel is capable of expanding the production compared to other local manufacturers. Besides that, selling shares to SEDC can be another alternative to convince the government to collaborate with Asteel. However, this strategy can posed a few issues such as conflict in decision making between the Asteel and SEDC. Moreover, government reputation could be affected due to favouritism of prioritizing suppliers for government projects. The competitiveness in collaborating with SEDC can be competitive as well when other local manufacturers have the same intentions. In addition ,legal issue such as breach of contract may arise when one parties failed to meet the obligations of the agreement

ADVANCEMENT IN MANUFACTURING PLAN

3.0 Implementing New Department

For the issue of advancement in manufacturing plan, the team had suggest Asteel Group to implement a new department. This is due to having a department can gathers all the data analyst and professionals together to make plannings, problem-solving and decision-making to succeed the company's mission and vision. The next strategy is digitization model. This is because digitization model can help Asteel Group to analyze challenges and difficulties, generate ideas and well tactics to solve the issues. Asteel Group can implement this model at its manufacturing department first, as it can create optimize production system.

4.0BUSINESS EXPANSION PROBLEMS:

For the issue of finding talented employees, the team had suggested to proceed their recruitment through social media platform. This is because of social media like Facebook has more than 2.7 billion active users per month as of the second quarter of 2020, the influencing power is high to increase job visibility. It could also be used as a screening tool for appropriate applicants background research. The second strategy for this issue is to discover in-house talent where Asteel can fund chosen employees to further study on agreement. These employees were pre-screened, and their performance must be outstanding. This strategy would improve employee engagement as they will realise that they could own similar opportunities.
