The first step in the Case Study Project is to read the Case Study Handbook, and Robin Chase, Zipcar. Examine and identify the facts of the case. Break it into parts, identify issues with planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Begin the analysis of the case as you apply the Situation phase of study to the case.

The list below will guide you as you review the case.

• What are the critical issues in this case?
• What is the factual information about this organization, its people, and their problems?
• What information is assumed or inferred?
• What are the major and minor problems in the case?
• What is the situation of the case, a problem, decision, or evaluation?

Prepare a summary of the facts in this case by writing a response to these questions. Include the questions with the responses in a bullet format. Include references when completing written assignments and case studies.
