COMPUTATION OF GRADE POINT AVERAGE Write a program that will determine your grade point average and if you are qualified for scholarship or not. The computer output format should appear similar to the example given below: SAMPLE OUTPUT: Name of Student : JUAN DELA CRUZ Course : BS Information Technology Subject Logic Formulation English 1 College Algebra PE 1 Filipino 1 NSTP Final Grade 1.50 2.00 2.25 Credit Unit 5 3 4 2 3 3 1.00 w WNW 1.75 2.50 GRADE POINT AVERAGE: 1.86 REMARKS : PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP WITH 25% TUITION FEE DISCOUNT For your data, select at least 6 subjects which you have taken in the previous semester. Include the final grade you're received for each subject and the corresponding credit unit of each. Use your own name and the course you were enrolled in. The output headings should also show the college or department to which you belong. The grade point average is determined as follows: A) First Step: Multiply your final grade(FG) in the first subject by the credit unit(CU) of that subject to obtain the first grade product(P1). Do the same for the other subjects. Then determine the sum of the product and call this SP. In the given example, the value of P1 is 7.5 and that of SP is 37.25 B) Second Step: Determine the sum of the credit units (SU) for all subjects. In the given example, su is equal to 20 units. C) Third Step: Your grade point average is determined by dividing the sum of the product(SP) by the sum of the credit units (SU). In the given Example, the GPA is equal to 37.25 divided by 20 or 1.86 After the GPA is calculated, determine if you are qualified for scholarship or not, The following will be the basis: a) Full Scholarship with 100% tuition fee discount, If the GPA range is between 1.00 and 1.25 b) Partial Scholarship with 75% tuition fee discount, If the GPA range is between 1.26 and 1.50 c) Partial Scholarship with 50% tuition fee discount, If the GPA range is between 1.51 and 1.75 d) Partial Scholarship with 25% tuition fee discount, If the GPA range is between 1.76 and 2.00 e) Not qualified for scholarship if the GPA is below 2.00 Your output must indicate your GPA whether you are qualified for scholarship or not. If qualified, the tuition fee discount must also be indicated. The final grade and the grade point average should be shown two digits after the decimal point
