The recent Hong Kong Universal Community Test Program (UCTP) aims to be conducted to better assess the COVID-19 infection situation in Hong Kong.

Testing involves three main processes.

1. Participants first enter the testing center and take a temperature measurement, and then clean their hands with alcohol disinfection gel.

2. Then, the people who need to make an appointment and the registration of some temporary residents.

3. In the end, an actual test is performed to collect samples from the nose and throat with a combined nose and throat swab.

The processing time for the above various processes is:

1. 0.25 minutes for temperature measurement and hand cleaning

2. 1 minute each time for registration of persons with pre-appointment, 5 minutes for those attending the conference

3. 4 minutes each time Nasal cavity and throat sampling

At a particular testing centre in Tin Shui Wai on the first day, all participants had pre-appointment. There was one temperature measuring station, two registration booths, and ten teams of sample collecting specialists. The participant arrival rate was 120 persons per hour.
