This activity requires the student to develop an ecommerce strategy for an organisation and evaluate its effectiveness. The student will be required to analyse the organisational objectives and priorities, ecommerce resourcing and budget availability, past ecommerce performance data, and internal and external operating environment to determine the organisation's ecommerce needs. Based on the analysis, the student will develop an ecommerce strategy that includes selecting an ecommerce operating platform, planning content strategy, identifying inventory logistics requirements, selecting suitable payment solutions, completing a security risk analysis, establishing key performance indicators and evaluation criteria, and developing an action plan. The student will also be required to evaluate the effectiveness of the ecommerce strategy using evaluation criteria to review the performance of the ecommerce strategy and make recommendations for future improvements
