I am a female A WOMAN; and not only am I proud of my gender but love being a part of such an amazing culture. I am also a Baby Boomer the generation who began the movement of changing the worldview of womanhood by showing up, leaning in and giving it/us a voice. There was a lot of courage exuded nationwide to ensure that our daughters would be appreciated not for what they are, but who they are. We burned our bras we marched/demonstrated for EVERYTHING woman (gender/ethnicity/sexual preference). Our national anthems were, I am Woman by Helen Reddy; and I Will Survive, by Gloria Gaynor. The Baby Boomers hit a ball out of the park so much so, that the movement has increased in strength and purpose.

Being female has a plethora of characteristics which I like to refer to as facets. Following are a few of my I favorites:

Motherhood Bringing life into this world is a miracle. I have had the privilege of giving birth to three children and delivering 2 of my 8 grandchildren. To watch my body change to accommodate the physiological needs of a developing human being is more than I can wrap my mind around. No matter how I imagined my baby(ies) to be prebirth their beauty far exceeded my expectationsthe incredible process adds even more beauty to them, not to mention, they were mine.

Love The love of a woman is one of great commitment, encouragement, endurance, and loyalty. Our love is demonstrated in the ability to care, show empathy, empower, nurture and be sexually intelligent.

Sexuality Having sexual intelligence makes a woman powerful in that she is aware of who she, what she is, and what she wants; and likes herself.

Femininity Femininity has slowly and deliberately come a very long way. It is no longer limited being like moms like the one on the Leave it to Beaver the Brady Bunch shows our lives do not revolve the home. We have evolved to the extent that we can be about family and run the country.

Influence Feminine influence impacts families and the world from the time of the apple. It has caused wars, stopped wars, destroyed kingdoms ad even ruled kingdoms. This level of influence is both innate and also learned (by those who appreciate its significance).

Being a female is well, I wouldnt havent any other way.
