plan with measurable objectives to meet identified needs. Your plan should contain
specific objectives, be fully developed with measurable success criteria, give details
of the activities you will undertake, the resources required, milestones and deadlines.The objectives set should be SMART
and directly linked to the outcomes of the audit.
The opportunities to meet the plan must be
realistic and directly related to the audit.
The personal development plan developed
must relate to own role, objectives and those of
the identified organisation. The plan must be
detailed with specific tasks, timescales,
resource needs and success criteria.
Implement the personal development plan.The learner must implement the plan.
There must be evidence of the activities which
have been carried out, their relevance to the
plan and the outcomes. This should be logged
in full. As stated in the assessment guidance
for this unit, the learner will need time to
undertake the activities stated in the plan.
When you have completed the activities in the plan, reflect on progress towards your
stated objectives and evaluate the impact of the actions taken on your capability to
perform your management and leadership role.The reflection on progress must be
detailed and related to the stated objectives.

there are shortfalls. The impact of this on their
own capability should be clearly stated.Appropriate evidence and where required commentary should be provided demonstrating
each of the above.
To achieve a Merit, you must provide an evaluation of available options for personal and
professional development.The learner should
present written information
on the options which were
available and the criteria
through which they
evaluated each of these.
To achieve a Distinction, you must also carry out ongoing reflectionmonitoring of the plan
with revision as necessary.The learner should provide
evidence of ongoing reflection,
monitoring and updating of
the plan. The analysis of the
areas for further development
must be based on review and
development points arising out
of it
