This includes demonstrating the following: Ø Reading and interpreting information regarding negotiations, agreements (including potentially complex agreements), conditions and contracts Ø Developing or participating in developing formal commercial contract agreements Ø Verbal communications to participate in negotiations Ø Evaluation of commercial data and cost structures in regards to the agreement/contract Ø Evaluation of both sides of the negotiations and awareness of maintaining the relationships while resolving issues Ø Building the business relationship for maintaining relations and business. This activity will need to be observed by the trainer/assessor or third party and documented in the observations and demonstrations checklist document.
Scenario
You and your 2 business partners have purchased Lead Restaurant in Cannington. You being the Purchasing manager is responsible for dealing with suppliers, placing orders, receiving deliveries, storing and distributing stock. You’ve been given the job of sourcing food and beverage supplies for the coffee shop. Price and the ability to supply the products and services within required time frames will be important considerations. Any contracts must include delivery arrangements.
Restaurant will have a complete refurbishment with a contemporary design and new menu. Proposed menu includes coffee, coupes, slushies, smoothies, and ice cream. The new coffee shop/restaurant will open in a month.
