To understand how to communicate with someone effectively, its important to understand the concept of personality types. After understanding the high-level personality types, you can differentiate people within 30 seconds and understand how to communicate with them easier. The four personality types are: Driver, Expressive, Amiable, and Analytical. There are two variables to identify any personality: Need for self-control or need for having power over others?

• Driver high need for self-control and need to have power over others.
• Analytical high need for self-control and low need to have power over others.
• Amiable low need for self-control and low need to have power over others.
• Expressive low need for self-control and high need to have power over others.
