Purpose

This discussion requires you to analyze a project proposal and describe its tone, effectiveness, and persuasiveness from the perspective of a reader.

Task

Read Project Proposal Example which is contained in the Learning Resources for Unit 2.

Prepare a discussion board post that answers each of the following questions:

  • What problem is the student addressing?
  • Has she accurately identified her decision-maker? Is this decision-maker appropriate? Has she accurately identified her relationship to the decision-maker by identifying her position?
  • Does the proposal follow the template provided in the assignment instructions? (WA #1 instructions can be found in the Content area of the classroom under Sample Papers and Writing Assignment Instructions for WRTG 394.)
  • Based on this proposal, would you be convinced to support this project? Why or why not?
