Barbara is a successfulbusiness woman. Her well-known business makes and installs office furniture and equipment in large organisations. Owing to her success, she is often subject to pressure when negotiating business deals, as other parties are aware that she can often afford to pay large sums of money. Barbara accepts that this is part ofbusiness, butis particularly concerned in relation to the three contracts below.

Contract threeis between Barbara and one of her suppliers. Barbara desperately needs the materials from her supplier in order to use them in another contract and the suppliers are aware that she is desperate. The suppliers are refusing to give Barbara the goods unless she pays them double the price. There are no other suppliers of these goods, therefore, Barbara pays the price.Advise Barbara using IRAC.
