A recent TIME article declared Charlotte as one of the most desirable cities to live in America, citing its status as one of the

country's largest banking hubs and among the fastest$-$growing metropolitan areas. Mayor Vi Lyles has maintained her

leadership since $2017.$ According to Charlotte's government estimates, the film and sports industries contributed $$6$ billion to

North Carolina's economy solely through tourism and job opportunities in $2020.$ Southern states, including North Carolina,

Facing an election year and looking to increase her chances of reelection while increasing tourism, Charlotte$$s mayor Vi

Lyles is planning to construct a premier film district within the Charlotte metro area. The mayor hopes that this project will
