Question:
What type of research design is best for my study?
I am investigating how well a corporate training program’s curricula prepare business students for a Marketing career. Instead of using a simple survey or needs assessment, I want to use an experimental design or maybe quasi. I will write up a fictitious business case study about a marketing firm. Scenario A talks about the firm working to improve and extend existing marketing processes. Scenario B talks about the firm building all new marketing processes. Scenario B(a) will also talk about the firm working to incorporate a unique marketing/branding, called “Novo.” I will recruit two groups of graduates, Group 1 and Group 2. Both groups will receive Scenario A. Each group will also receive Scenario B but half of Group 2 will receive Scenario B(a), the experimental group. Group 1 is the control group. I will then ask both groups how effective the training program prepared them for the type of work described In each scenario. How would you describe this design? How would you diagram the design?
