When I first read about the DMAIC method, something that came to mind was buyer personas. In one of my previous classes at GCU, there was a lot of emphasis put on buyer personas and how that can be helpful for an organization to create. A buyer persona represents a made-up individual who coincides with who a companys target audience is and helps an organization put a face to the name, for lack of a better description. For example, an athletic shoe company may create a buyer persona who is active, loves being outdoors, and loves hiking. This sort of person would benefit from purchasing their product. It gives the company a reason and method of taking on the perspectives of their target audience. Through this method, they can collect information in order to create better products for their customers. Can you see the connection here?
