Write a one-page letter in block format explaining your career goal two years out. A one-page letter is approximately three paragraphs, includes a greeting and salutation as well as clear points in each paragraph.

In your letter, discuss your credibility (why/how you are qualified to achieve this goal), your specific plans to achieve your goal, what communication skills you expect to rely on along the way, and how communicating across cultures might play a role in these plans.

Consider the following questions:

• Why do you want to achieve this goal? Where did the idea come from?
• What strengths do you have that will help you along the way?
• How will this career change impact your life and future goals?
• Does the city of new Orleans in particular impact your career goal?
• What steps have you already taken to achieve this goal?
• What obstacles do you foresee and what plans to you have to overcome them?
• Where do you work?
• Why are you taking Business Communications?
• Why do you think honesty and integrity are part of credibility?
• How do you believe your personal skills as an introvert/extrovert will help you in your interpersonal communication?
• What is an interesting and unique fact about yourself?
• What other cultures might you come into contact with?
