Question:
You have recently contacted a company called Antrax Hardware. They have put you in touch with the general sales manager. During your interview with her, she tells you of a problem she is facing, "Our small company is facing a generation gap in technology usage. Over the past couple of years, we have added point of sale cash and ecard services as well as inventory updates. Next month we want to look into getting an e-commerce website up to advertise and provide an online store service. The problem is, a few of our employees have been working here since Antrax started over 40 years ago and they hate technology and the new way of doing things. They constantly complain about the new cash register system and how to use the debit/credit card terminals. The younger sales associates are starting to get very frustrated waiting for someone to complete one sale while they have had four or five at their register at the same time. Another problem is that we have garnered customer loyalty and many of our customers are having the same age-related problems of not understanding the technology we use to look-up items and then proceed to check out at our registers. What do you think we can do?"
