Describe Web-based GSS. This chapter has served to provide a relatively quick overview of knowledge management and collaborative systems, two movements that were really prominent in the past 20 years but have now been subsumed by other technologies for information sharing and decision making. It helps to see where the roots of many of the technologies today might have come from, although the names may have changed.
