This interesting exercise is worthwhile in: 

1. Providing the opportunity for political self-assessment (some students will be rather uncomfortable with their results) 

2. Helping students understand the concept of empowerment at a personal level. Because it is a personal profile, this exercise is best assigned for students to do outside of class. Any in-class discussion of the exercise should be limited to discussing question three; How could an organization use information gathered from this type of empowerment profile? 

From an ethical standpoint, it is questionable whether an organization should use information from such a profile. If students do not raise this issue themselves, the instructor might consider doing so. Presumably, organizations could use the information to help them choose people for management training or for promotion, especially if the organization values people who think for themselves and take personal responsibility for their actions.
